API Setup
WebFones has just released a new API which can be used for syncing contact data between internal software, send and receive text messages, dial phone extensions from a customer’s software and provide a screen pop for call notifications inside company software. Call records can also be downloaded into CRM software.
The new API uses a single company-wide token which gives the various elements access. You will need to turn it on for your account and then use the example code to access the various parts of the API.
You can get the API configuration from the API preferences screen (under the gear menu). Here is what it looks like:
