Account Preferences
The “Account Preferences” screen is used to store account-wide shared settings for contact categories and to setup Google People syncing. To open the Account Preferences screen, select the gear menu in your phone system administration area, and select “Account Preferences”.
General Information
The “General Information” section provides a place to setup the default Music on Hold, Caller ID, e911, and Timezone. Note that all of these settings can be overridden. This is especially important with the e911 setting. Make sure to review Setup e911.
The billing contact is setup as a list of company agents. If your billing person is not an agent in the account, it is important that they have a login in case they need to pay the bill online.
Shipping Address
When you place an order, the shipping address on this page is used as the default. It can always be overridden if you need to send phones to another location. The shipping address is also used as the default address when setting up e911.
Medical Compliance Settings
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) sets the standard for sensitive patient data protection. Companies that deal with protected health information (PHI) must have physical, network, and process security measures in place and follow them to ensure HIPAA Compliance.
When you enable HIPPA Compliance, it will transform all voicemail and text messages so that personal information is hidden until you click on a link to view the information behind a login.
