Pager Extension
Pager Extension
Pager Extension
Pager extensions provide a way to create a public announcement system on your network using the speakers on the Polycom phones. The phones in the pager group are defined by the call group selected.
The pager extension is one of two strategies for creating a public announcement system. It is best suited for smaller groups of phones because paging a group of phones requires a lot of internet bandwidth. If you are looking to integrate a larger group of speakers, you may want to consider using a Snom PA1 or analog adaptor to connect to an amplifier and speaker system.
There are two settings:
| Extension | This is the extension number that is dialed internally to access the public announcement system. |
|---|---|
| Group | This is the call group that identifies the extensions that will become speakers for the public announcement. |
