Yealink Cordless Phone Provisioning
Yealink Cordless Phone Provisioning
This guide covers provisioning instructions for Yealink W52P and W56P cordless phones.
Initial Setup
Step 1: Connect the Base Station
- Connect the base station to your network using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power adapter and ensure the base powers up.
- The base station LED should indicate it's connected to the network.
Step 2: Find the IP Address
You'll need the IP address of the base station to access its web interface.
- Pick up one of the handsets registered to the base station.
- Press OK to access the menu.
- Navigate to Status > Base.
- The IP address of the base will be displayed on the screen (example: 192.168.0.34).
Step 3: Access the Web Interface
- On a computer connected to the same network, open a web browser (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox).
- Enter the IP address in the address bar (example:
http://192.168.0.34). - Log in with the following credentials:
- Password: admin
- If "admin" doesn't work, try password: 159753
Step 4: Configure Auto Provisioning
- In the Yealink web interface, go to Settings > Auto Provision.
- Enter the Server URL:
http://b.webfones.com/yea5610/
http:// initially - the phone will automatically change to secure https:// later, but http:// works more reliably with default settings.
- Click Save or Confirm to save the changes.
Step 5: Reboot the Device
- Reboot the base station to apply the provisioning settings.
- The phone will download its configuration and register with WebFones.
Re-Provisioning an Existing Phone
If a cordless phone has lost its provisioning or needs to be reconfigured, follow the same steps above starting from Step 2.
Registering Additional Handsets
The W52P base supports up to 5 handsets, and the W56P base supports up to 5 handsets as well.
To register a new handset to an existing base:
- On the base station, press and hold the registration button (or locate it via the web interface).
- On the handset, go to Settings > Registration > Register Handset.
- The handset will search for the base and register automatically.
Troubleshooting
Phone Won't Connect to Network
- Verify the Ethernet cable is properly connected to the base station.
- Check that your network switch/router port is active.
- Try a different Ethernet cable or port.
Can't Access Web Interface
- Make sure your computer is on the same network as the base station.
- Verify the IP address is correct by checking the handset display again.
- Try a different web browser.
Phone Won't Provision
- Double-check the Server URL is entered correctly.
- Ensure the base station has internet access.
- Try rebooting the base station after saving the provisioning URL.
Handset Won't Register
- Make sure the base station is powered on and connected.
- Ensure you haven't exceeded the maximum number of handsets (5).
- Try resetting the handset and re-registering.
