Organizations
The Organizations screen lets you manage the sub-organizations within your company. To access it, open the gear menu in the administration area and select Organizations.
Organizations
Organizations let you divide your account into separate operational groups—essentially creating distinct business units within your system. Each organization can have its own park orbit, music on hold, E911 details, and default caller ID settings. Extensions and phone numbers assigned to an organization automatically inherit those defaults.
When an extension belongs to an organization, its park buttons work only with other phones in the same organization. This means both phones must be in the same organization to park a call and retrieve it. However, you can still transfer calls freely between extensions in different organizations.
If you need a shared pool of extensions that all use the same park buttons, you may prefer not to use organizations. Instead, set caller ID values per extension to maintain maximum flexibility.
To create a new organization, click Add Organization. Here is an example configuration:
